Principal Dentist

I am the Principal dentist and the owner of the practice since 2017 after being an associate for over 3 years. I qualified in Athens in 2005 and first moved to the UK in 2006.

I like putting my patients at ease and providing the best possible care, I firmly believe that dentistry doesn't have to be unpleasant or scary and that often it can be life changing offering a significant improvement in the quality of peoples' lives.

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and over the years I have developed a special interest in endodontics (root canal) treatment. In 2016, I completed a Master's Degree in Endodontic Practice at the prestigious Queen Mary University of London. I enjoy accepting referrals for complicated cases which I treat under my microscope.

Jaume (known to all his patients as James) is a GDC registered specialist in oral surgery. He is particularly interested in implant dentistry and periodontics. James studied for his dental degree and master’s degree in Barcelona, where he was trained by several maxillofacial surgeons and well-known dentists from Europe and the USA. Before moving to the UK, James was an associate professor at the University of Barcelona. During this time, he was an author of eight scientific articles, a lecturer at several dental congresses and attended hundreds of courses, seminars and congresses to keep his knowledge up to date. When he moved to the UK, James started working as an oral surgery consultant at the Royal South Hampshire Hospital, where he trained in sedation techniques before moving into private practice. He has a keen interest in placing dental implants, having placed more than 5,000 throughout his career. James prides himself on his positive, energetic and friendly nature. He accepts self-referrals and referrals from other dentists.

Orthodontics

Dr Sara Belo graduated from the University of Porto with a Master's degree in Dentistry in 2016. She has a passion for rebuilding patients' smiles with minimally invasive techniques using teeth straightening, to improve the appearance of the smile, yet by preserving as much natural tooth as possible.

Dr Sara works exclusively in the field of Orthodontics; which is the area of dentistry that deals with diagnosing, preventing, and correcting mal-positioned teeth and jaws, and misaligned bite patterns.

She has completed a Diploma in Intensive Advances Biomechanics in Clear Aligner Technique, a Diploma in Treating Growing Patients with Clear Aligners, a Post-graduate diploma and a Master's in Clear Aligner Orthodontics and Facial Orthopaedics.

Dr Sara has focused her practice on mastering the biomechanics of the Clear Aligner Technique allowing her to have the knowledge and expertise to treat a vast range of complex cases with clear aligners so that her patients can enjoy a more comfortable and descrete treatment journey.

Dr Sara has been awarded "Best Orthodontic Treatment with Clear Aligners" in September 2023. She provides clear aligner treatment to patients of all ages - children, teens, and adults, not only to improve the aesthetic of the smile but she also reinforces the importance of achieving a functional bite and chewing pattern.

Dr Belo is a strong believer of intervention at an early age when needed. Teeth can have a big impact on the growth of a child. By introducing teeth straightening techniques this can help reduce the risk of crowding and bite issues, the risk of trauma to the teeth and the need for long and complex orthodontic treatment later down the line. She is known to be very gentle and caring even among patients with a fear of dentists.

I qualified from Kings College Hospital in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in 2014.

My achievements have been the Professionalism Award 2014 at Kings College Hospital, DHT Awards in 2016 for clinical excellence and finalist for Best Therapist at The Oral Health Awards 2017.

I am currently undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Dental Therapy, which involves composite bonding techniques, to best deliver my patients cosmetic, minimally invasive, and ethical dentistry. I also have an interest in non-surgical periodontics and carry this out on a regular basis to stabilize my patients gum health.

I have a laid-back personality and easy-going nature that tends to put people at ease during treatments. My passion outside of dentistry is American football. I have played in the U.K. and internationally, achieving Youth level MVP and 4x National Champion. Yet my proudest accolades are my wife and young son.

Vivie qualified from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1985 and has been enjoying being a dentist every day since then. The first 25 years of her dental career she was practising in Greece. In 2010, Vivie came to the UK with her younger son in a joined adventure. Vivie took a role in the NHS at first, in a busy practice in Havant. In 2013 she attended BUOLD Courses in Periodontology and Surgical Skills at the University of Bristol. In 2014 she completed a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry with Professor Tipton in London. Since then, she has attended a few courses in cosmetic dentistry, with particular focus in composite bonding. Vivie has an interest in restorative dentistry, but she enjoys being a general dentist. In 2018, Vivie staring mentoring newly qualified overseas dentists, something she found exiting and very rewarding. Six months ago, Vivie joined Waterside Dental Practice and she is excited to be given the opportunity to work in a state-of -art environment with an amazing and talented team. Vivie has two sons, George, and Konstantinos. In her free time, Vivie enjoys long walks, music, cooking and the occasional glass of red with her friends.

General and Cosmetic Dentist

Ourania qualified in 2014 as a Dentist from the University of Athens, in Greece. Since then she has practiced General Dentistry in multiple dental practices in Greece and England. She is a certified Invisalign Go provider and she is currently undertaking a diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics.

Ourania enjoys working with children and adults to create healthy dental habits. She is devoted to making the experience of going to the dentist more patient-friendly and comfortable. She keeps up to date with the latest advances in order to provide a high quality of care, with a focus on minimum intervention. She speaks English, Greek and a little bit of French. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys reading, practicing pilates and playing table tennis.

I'm Justine and I have been in the Dental field since 2009. Initially, I started off as a Dental Nurse and then Qualified as Dental Hygienist/Therapist with a Diploma at King's College London in 2015.

My main role is to provide a gentle yet thorough approach in preventing, treating and stabilising gum disease. I am passionate in maintaining good oral health and I will tailor to your needs. Extra skills I am able to carry out are cosmetic treatments such as airflow and teeth whitening.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing flute and piano. I also enjoy running and have completed half marathons. I am due later this year to get married to Chris who also works at the practice.

Sian recently graduated from Cardiff University in 2023 with a BSc Hons in Dental Hygiene and Therapy and returned down South to begin my career.

Sian is passionate about prevention of periodontal disease and providing patients with the tools to enable them to maintain their gum health at home, tailoring this individually. When carrying out treatment for gum disease, Sian's main aim is to ensure the patient feels at ease, in control and wanting to return.

In Sian's spare time she loves to travel, keep fit and spend time with friends and family.

As our dedicated Patient Coordinator at Waterside Dental Practice, Donna brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for patient care to our team. With a background in both dental administration and patient relations, she plays a vital role in ensuring that every patient receives personalized attention and comprehensive support throughout their treatment journey.

Donna understands that visiting the dentist can be a daunting experience for many people, which is why she strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their dental concerns and treatment options. Donna firmly believes in the importance of patient education and empowerment, taking the time to thoroughly explain procedures, answer questions, and address any concerns to help patients make informed decisions about their oral health.

With her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Donna coordinates treatment plans seamlessly, liaising between patients, dentists, and specialists to ensure that each patient's needs are met efficiently and effectively. Whether it's scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance authorizations, or providing financial guidance, she goes above and beyond to streamline the process and alleviate any logistical burdens for our patients.

She is deeply committed to staying abreast of the latest advancements in dental technology and patient care practices, attending continuing education courses and professional development opportunities to enhance her knowledge and skills. She takes pride in being a trusted resource for our patients, guiding them through every step of their treatment journey with compassion, empathy, and professionalism.

Outside of the practice, Donna enjoys reading and going for long bike rides with her husband in the new forest. She finds that her diverse experiences enrich her ability to connect with patients from all walks of life. I am eager to learn new skills and meet new challenges in a dynamic work environment. I joined Waterside Dental Team since 2021.

It's a great pleasure to be part of the team. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and I like to take part in the charity events for good causes.

I started at Waterside Dental Practice in August 2022 as Dental Receptionist. I have 10 years’ experience in dentistry and currently studying for a degree in Marketing. I enjoy meeting new people at the practice and being part of a supportive team.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with Friends and Family. My Hobbies include crafts and walking in the forest with my Husky, Bobby.

I joined the fantastic Waterside Dental Team in June 2023. I've been in dentistry for 9 years, doing admin and infection control. Most recently my role has been taking a few years out to raise my two children. In my spare time, I love spending it with my wider family, volunteering for various charities and going to Queen gigs!
